On this four days private tour we will visit Tusheti – Amazing mountainous region in northeastern Georgia, bordering the historic region of Khevsureti, as well as Russia’s Chechnya and Dagestan, is a real treasure of the Georgian part of the Caucasus. Tucked away in the Caucasus in Georgia’s far northeast corner, Tusheti remains one of the country’s most picturesque, fascinating and pristine high-mountain regions. The single road to Tusheti, over the nerve-jangling 2900m Abano Pass from Kakheti, is 4WD-only and only possible from about late May to mid-October.
The scenery everywhere is a spectacular mix of snow-covered rocky peaks, deep gorges, tower-dotted villages and steep, grassy hillsides where distant flocks of sheep appear as slowly shifting patterns of white specks. The whole area is under environmental protection as the Tusheti Protected Areas
Tushetis authenticity, amazing nature, breathtaking views, unique architecture, specific traditions, and delicious local beer is why Tusheti should be on the visit list in Georgia.

Tour Highlight:
Day 1.
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Tbilisi early in the morning and we will take off to Tusheti, before we’ll reach the region, on the way we will stop to see Alaverdi Cathedral in Kakheti, continue our trip, drive through village Alvani and make lunch stop at Abano Pass. later in the afternoon will arrive in Omalo, settle in accommodation at the guest house to stay overnight there.
Day 2.
After breakfast we will have excursion in Omalo, visit Keselo fortress and local museum. in second half of the day we will drive up to Village Shenaqo and have about 800m of hike to the village Diklo. Will return back to Omalo have traditional Tushetian Dinner. Overnight in Omalo.
Day 3.
On this day we will be visiting villages of Dartlo, walking about 1km to the village Dano and Kvavlo, visit: Farsma, Girevi, Hego; return back to Omalo. Overnight in Omalo
Day 4.
After breakfast in Omalo, will drive back to Tbilisi. On the way will make stop in Telavi, explore this beautiful historical town. Drop you off back to your hotel.
Even that road takes 6 hours from Tbilisi, you will not feel tiredness. All the time of driving you will have unbelievable views on Caucasus mountains covered with a lot of springs and some glaciers.
