Two Days Cultural and Nature Tour in Kazbegi
Private Tour Introduction:
On this two days private tour we will travel along the Georgian Military Highway and explore the all historical, cultural and nature sightings along the way.
First, we will visit ancient Georgian capital Mtskheta, one of the oldest town, the cultural and religious center of Georgia. From there we will be visiting Annuri Architectural complex, overlooking Jinvali reservoir. Continue driving to Kazbegi and enjoy with stunning panoramas of giant mountains and drive over the Jvari Pass to the town Kabegi – the picturesque settlement, will stay overnight there. The next day we will visit Gergeti Trinity church which is situated on the hill above the village Gergeti and provides unforgettable view of one of the highest and most beautiful summit of the Caucasus range – Mountain Mkinvartsveri/Kazbeg. Then will drive to the point where we can start hiking towards the Gveleti waterfalls.
Full of emotions and impressions will drive back to Tbilisi.

Tour Highlights:
We will pick you up from your hotel, and start driving to Mtskheta, which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a living museum, with many architectural and historical monuments. We will visit Jvari (temple of the “Holy Cross”), built in the 6th century. Stand on a high hill overlooking the confluence of two majestic rivers Aragvi and Mtkvari. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (XI century).
We will continue our trip and will stop at Ananuri Architectural complex that used to be a residence of Dukes of Aragvi. Complex featuring churches and towers dating back to the XVI – XVII cc. is beautifully overlooking Jinvali reservoir.
On the way we will stop in Gudauri to have a beautiful view of the Caucasus Mountains. Will arrive in Kazbegi later in the evening. Overnight in Kazbegi.
We will start tour next day by visiting Gergeti Trinity Church of XIV c located at an elevation of 2170 m under mountain Kazbegi.
Then will continue our way towards Gveleti Waterfalls, we must first drive through the stunning Dariali Gorge, from which a short, over an hour hike up a narrow footpath leads the way to the Gveleti waterfalls.
We will drive you back to your hotel later in the evening.
